Group Pitch

For our project, we decided to explore how we can manipulate the current trend of cancel culture. This project will follow the opposite trend of Harper and Mason’s story as instead of resolving conflict we will be resurfacing it as well as creating online it. To do this we will be researching the causation and impacts of recently cancelled celebrities and showcasing them through our digital artefact as well as using AI to create fake news for us to publish. Our DA involves creating an Instagram account to post about celebrities and influencers who have been cancelled. For our tangible item, we will be designing and creating merch of cancelled celebrities to analyse if we can bring cancel culture from the digital world into physical society. I intend to predominatly focus on doing the work involved with the sublimation printer and heat press. I recommended this technology based on my past experiences in BCM112. I will also assist with the instagram posts and merch design.
